When choosing your mobility vehicle, you might want to consider whether you need a winch. An electric winch will take the strain by pulling the wheelchair into the wheelchair accessible vehicle and then letting it out again when exiting the vehicle. Winches are attached to the front of the wheelchair and are operated by a remote control. Some of our wheelchair cars are already fitted with a winch but, if the car you favour does not already have a winch, it is possible to fit one to most make and models.
