Wheelchair Accessible VW Caddy Life

A wheelchair accessible vehicle that can accommodate up to six passengers including the wheelchair user – great for family use! This VW has plenty to offer including rear privacy windows and some handy drink holders in the front and in the back.

Converted by Automotive, this Caddy has been adapted with a lowered floor that creates the internal height to accommodate a wheelchair passenger comfortably.  The ramp at the back provides the means of getting a wheelchair/wheelchair user into the vehicle with ease (this ramp has hydraulics making it nice and easy to use).  One inside the vehicle and safely secured utilising the wheelchair restraint and safety belt system, the wheelchair passenger sits behind the row of three seats in the back.  However, the rear seats have the ability to be folded in either a one, two or three configuration (please see photographs) providing additional space for the wheelchair user to enjoy or to provide seating for the required number of passengers in the back – very versatile indeed.  The overhead shelf in the front provides an excellent area to store any valuables plus there are some side pockets in the rear for similar use.  Air conditioning is also included and great to have during the Summer months, plus, of course, useful for demisting the front windscreen when necessary.  A comfortable vehicle to get out and about in.

The 1.6 diesel engine and automatic gearbox combine both economy and efficiency as well as a great performance.  This vehicle offers a smooth ride.
