Wheelchair Accessible Volkswagen Caddy Maxi

A wheelchair accessible vehicle that can accommodate up to six passengers including the wheelchair user.  This WAV has a winch installed making it very easy to get the wheelchair/wheelchair user up the length of the ramp and into the wheelchair location.  Great if you are someone who struggles getting a wheelchair up any inclines!

This VW has been converted by Allied Mobility and adapted with all the appropriate elements which include a lowered floor, a four point wheelchair restraint system and a two piece ramp at the rear.  The ramp has the additional feature of being able to fold flat inside the vehicle creating a boot (for use when wheelchair user not in situ).  The 3 seats in the rear can be folded either all together, or in a 2 or 1 configuration making it very adaptable indeed.  When all 3 seats are folded down, the wheelchair passenger can enjoy more space in front plus a useful surface to place any items they may need.  There are also some handy drink holders and storage nets on both sides of the wheelchair location.  If you prefer to have complete privacy in the back of the vehicle, this WAV has rear blackout windows and is a preference for some (we also think that it enhances the look of the vehicle too).  The drive quality is also very smooth in this Caddy.  A lovely vehicle to own.

The 1.6 cc diesel engine and manual gearbox provide plenty of power whilst providing an enjoyable ride.  The parking sensors fitted also make it very easy to manoeuvre in those awkward spaces and make parking up much easier to do.
