The generous two piece ramp at the rear provides an easy means of accessing the exiting this vehicle with ease and once on board the wheelchair is fastened in utilising the four point wheelchair restraints (which include front inertia belts that have a no roll back function for added safety).  The specially adapted shoulder and lap safety belt secures the wheelchair person (similar to a standard safety belt) and the process is complete.  If you are someone who would struggle to push a manual wheelchair/wheelchair user up the ramp incline, this WAV is equipped with a very useful winch that simply pulls the wheelchair/wheelchair user into the wheelchair location with ease – all by remote control!  The side sliding doors provide an excellent means of gaining access to the wheelchair passenger once inside making it easier to check that they are both comfortable and ready for their journey.  Another feature on this Berlingo is the tailgate window which can be opened allowing the fresh air to circulate around the vehicle and is especially useful on those warmer days when stationary.  If additional space is required by the wheelchair passenger, the rear seat in this adaptation can be tilted forwards out of the way – very versatile indeed.  A well equipped wheelchair accessible vehicle that ticks all the boxes.
