Wheelchair Accessible Citroen Berlingo

Another one of our Berlingos – always popular with wheelchair users and this one has a generous wheelchair ramp of 31.5 inches – ideal for a larger wheelchair.

Converted by Gleneagles, the vehicle has been adapted with a lowered floor creating the internal height to accommodate a wheelchair user.  A ramp has been fitted at the rear –  with a non-slip surface for ease of access and as it is a two-piece so the gradient is lower making it easier to push a wheelchair up its length.  Once on board the wheelchair/wheelchair user is fastened securely utilising the four point wheelchair restraints and safety belt system.  If you would like to view a demonstration of this, we have provided you with a video which you can find by selecting the ‘Advice’ button above and then ‘how easy is it to use a WAV’ from the dropdown list.  From this you will see just how secure the wheelchair/wheelchair person is in the vehicle – reassurance indeed.

If you require more space in the rear, the seat at the back can tilt forwards out of the way – very versatile.  The seat can also double up as somewhere to place any essential items required by the wheelchair user as we so often hear.  Air conditioning is also included and great to have on those warmer days and longer journeys.  A WAV that ticks all the boxes.

The 1.6 cc diesel engine provides plenty of power and an easy car to drive.
